Street Collaging La Pequeña Habana
Apr 18, 2026
From: 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM
A community walk and collage workshop explores the everyday landscape of East Little Havana through photography, memory and creative practice. Taking place Saturday, April 18, Street Collaging La Pequeña Habana is part of the O, Miami Poetry Festival and invites participants to engage with the neighborhood beyond its most visible landmarks.
Led by multidisciplinary artist Motyko Morales, the experience begins with a guided walk through local streets, where participants document storefronts, grocery markets and community spaces. These images become the foundation for a collage workshop, where attendees create visual archives reflecting the area’s evolving identity.
The program concludes with a shared meal and collaborative reflection, emphasizing both artistic expression and community connection. Presented as part of the O, Miami Poetry Festival, the event aligns with the festival’s focus on accessible, place-based poetry experiences across Miami-Dade County.
