Sublime Slime Weekend
May 23, 2026 - May 25, 2026
All Day
Hands-on slime experiments, sensory play and theatrical surprises fill a Memorial Day weekend program for children and families. Sublime Slime Weekend takes place May 23-25 at Miami Children’s Museum on Watson Island. The multi-day event features four slime-themed activities designed for different ages, from early learners to older children ready to mix and customize their own creations.
Junior scientists can explore Volcano Slime Eruptions, using bubbling and fizzing reactions to create flowing slime effects. Older participants can make Classic Slime to stretch, mix and take home, while younger children can visit a Taste-Safe Sensory Station featuring edible slime made with cornstarch and pudding.
The museum’s theater troupe will also bring slime into live performances, with audience members possibly becoming part of the oozy action. Miami Children’s Museum is a nonprofit educational institution with interactive exhibits and programs focused on arts, culture, community and creative learning.
