Tactile Mixed Media Collage Art Class for All Abilities

Texture, color and touch become the focus of an accessible mixed-media workshop led by artist and educator Yvette Cotera at the Doral Cultural Arts Center. The class takes place Saturday, September 12 as part of the City of Doral’s arts programming, inviting participants of varying abilities to create a tactile relief collage through guided instruction. Materials include die-cut wood, pre-drawn outlines, printed papers, oil pastels and watercolors.

Cotera, a Certified Special Education Visual Art Instructor and award-winning artist, leads participants through techniques for combining layered surfaces, color and texture into a finished piece. The workshop is designed to accommodate both first-time participants and those with previous art experience.

Registration is $15 and space is limited. Free parking is available at the City Hall Parking Garage.
