We Keep Looking for You (Te Seguimos Buscando) is a hybrid exhibition by Cuban filmmaker and visual artist Asiel Babastro, presented alongside the screening of the music video–art piece of the same name, performed by rapper Lexter Savio.
The exhibition unfolds across 24 graphic works—a nod to the 24 frames per second of cinema. Each image is drawn from the video art itself, captured at the moment between frames, where motion pauses, looks back, and reveals a new symbolic dimension. What once moved becomes fixed, inviting viewers into a fresh interpretive space.
This body of work marks the material realization of Babastro’s long-standing artistic inquiry across film, contemporary art, photography, and performance. Here, the audiovisual narrative slows, shedding its fluid form to become object, document, and tangible memory.
Part of the ongoing series Symbols of Faith, the exhibition shifts the image from ornament to a site of conceptual tension—where faith, race, power, identity, and the politics of memory converge. While the video streams through time, the framed works on the wall clash, converse, and complicate each other. Politics appears not as explicit commentary but as a shadow shaped by history and lived experience.
The result is a visually arresting, immersive environment where cinema and visual art meet in a powerful dialogue about belief, identity, and the forces that define how we remember.
