Tertulia Nights: Diego Melgar Movement Workshop Part II

Movement and music intersect in an interactive workshop at the Patricia & Phillip Frost Art Museum FIU.

Tertulia Nights: Diego Melgar Movement Workshop Part II (ft. Smita Sen) takes place Wednesday, March 11 as part of the museum’s recurring evening series. This installment of MOVE – Communal Improvisation Workshop pairs composer Diego Melgar with guest artist Smita Sen for a collaborative experience rooted in shared, embodied practice.

Participants are invited to explore memory, connection and personal expression through guided movement and sound. Drawing on backgrounds in dance, sculpture and advanced technology, Sen examines how the body functions as a living document, carrying tension, rhythm and emotion over time. The workshop reflects on transformation through grief, care and interdependence, blending performance and research-based approaches in an intimate, participatory setting.

Tertulia Nights offers after-hours access to art and interdisciplinary programming at the Frost Art Museum FIU. Funding for this initiative is provided by the Art Bridges Access for All program.
