The Majestic Schubert Octet

A luminous chamber work comes to life as Frost faculty artists perform one of Schubert’s most expansive compositions at the University of Miami’s Newman Recital Hall.

Part of the Frost Music Live 2025–2026 Signature Series, The Majestic Schubert Octet offers a rare opportunity to experience the composer’s radiant six-movement score alongside visual projections of the original manuscript. Scored for winds and strings, the Octet highlights Schubert’s lyrical brilliance and playful inventiveness on a scale that bridges chamber intimacy and symphonic richness.

The performance takes place Friday, October 10 at 7:30 p.m. at UM Newman Recital Hall.
