The Murph Challenge

A demanding Memorial Day weekend fitness challenge brings competitors to Lummus Park to honor fallen service members through endurance and strength. The Murph Challenge takes place Saturday, May 23 from 7 to 8:30 a.m. in Miami Beach, between 11th and 12th streets. Presented by the City of Miami Beach in collaboration with the U.S. Army Recruiting Battalion - Miami and Yellow Falcon CrossFit, the free event invites participants to test themselves in a timed workout.
The standard Murph workout includes:
- 1-mile run
- 100 pull-ups
- 200 push-ups
- 300 air squats
- 1-mile run
Participants may choose to complete the workout with an optional 20-pound or 14-pound weight vest. Advance registration and a completed waiver are required, and there is no cost to participate.
