The River Within
Through Mar 28, 2026
weekly on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
From: 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM
A trio of artist films reflecting on ecology, memory and place anchors a special anniversary presentation at Locust Projects in Little River.
The River Within, a selection of AIRIE.Foundation Artist Reflections is on view January 31 through March 28 in conjunction with Ema Ri’s installation, This Too Shall Pass. The program features video works by past AIRIE.Foundation residents whose practices engage deeply with environmental storytelling and lived landscape.
Screenings include Ania Freer’s Raised by Water, Held by Land (19:28), Cornelius Tulloch’s Elements of Being (9:43), and Sasha Wortzel’s Geologic Time (River of Grass) (2025, 3:38). Together, the works consider water, geology and embodiment as forces that shape both terrain and identity.
The presentation coincides with AIRIE.Foundation’s 25th anniversary year. Since its founding, the nonprofit residency has supported artists exploring the intersection of art and the environment, fostering creative research, public dialogue and cross-disciplinary exchange. Marking a quarter century of work, AIRIE continues to champion artists as vital contributors to conversations around social and environmental change.
Admission is free and open to the public.
