The Voice Inside Changed My Life: Screening & Reception

A screening of the PBS series The Voice Inside anchors an evening of film, music and conversation at Actors’ Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre in Coral Gables. Taking place Tuesday, May 12, the program includes a reception, live performance and panel discussion with contributors to the series.

Presented by South Florida PBS in partnership with the Autism Theater Project, the event features an episode from the award-winning series, which explores personal stories of resilience among teens and young adults. The narratives address a range of real-life challenges, including grief, learning differences and the transition to adulthood, with an emphasis on self-perception and growth.

Following the screening, a panel discussion brings together showrunner Gena Sims, performer Kaylah Taylor and additional participants connected to the project. The evening begins with a reception offering light bites and drinks, along with a live musical performance, creating a setting for both reflection and community engagement.
