The Walls Have Changed
Dec 03, 2025
From: 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM
A conversation about cultural change in one of Miami’s most recognizable arts districts anchors this Miami Art Week program at the Wynwood Building.
The Walls Have Changed, presented by the Miami Center for Architecture & Design, explores how art, design and development shape community identity, with a focus on the shifting landscape of Wynwood. Guided by Beth Boone, Artistic and Executive Director of Miami Light Project, the discussion examines the balance between honoring a neighborhood’s cultural legacy and navigating the pressures of gentrification.
The schedule includes a welcome reception at MKDA Miami from 6 to 7 p.m., followed by the panel discussion at The Lab from 7 to 8 p.m. An after-party reception from 8 to 11 p.m. at MKDA Miami features music by Grammy-nominated DJ Mr. Pauer.
The event takes place on Wednesday, December 3 during Miami Art Week and is framed by the Miami Light Project’s longstanding work supporting innovative performance, cultural exchange and community-based artists in South Florida.
