Thursdays at PAMM: Chabon with Figures, Signs, Symbols
Jun 25, 2026
From: 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM
Charcoal drawing, live music and museum programming come together at PAMM for an evening inspired by the opening of Basquiat: Figures, Signs, Symbols. Thursdays at PAMM: Chabon with Figures, Signs, Symbols takes place Thursday, June 25 at Pérez Art Museum Miami.
Led by multidisciplinary Haitian artist Bacheler Jean Pierre, the session introduces participants to Chabon, a monthly art series centered on charcoal as a medium for exploring identity, memory and human connection. This edition responds to Jean-Michel Basquiat’s visual language through a multimedia drawing workshop that combines art-making, music and conversation.
The evening includes happy hour at Verde from 5 to 8 p.m., a DJ set on the waterfront terrace beginning at 7 p.m., an introduction to Chabon at 8 p.m. and live drawing with Bacheler from 8:30 to 9:20 p.m. Museum admission is free every Thursday after 5 p.m., and the Chabon workshop series continues on July 30.
