A holiday concert rooted in Spanish-language traditions brings carols from across Latin America to the Westchester Cultural Arts Center.
Una blanca Navidad... ¿en el Caribe? takes place Sunday, December 7, presented by Arca Images and Miami-Dade County Auditorium as part of MDCA’s Very Merry Holiday Season and its Away From Home Series. Showcasing regional variations of the Christmas carol shaped by centuries of cultural exchange, the performance highlights how musical styles evolved from the Iberian Peninsula to the Caribbean and Latin America.
The program features guitarist Omar Herrera, flutist Nicolás Real, bassist Elvis Martinez, percussionist Roberto Castillo, and vocalists Carlos Silva and Luciana Kube, with Raúl González serving as master of ceremonies and a special appearance by Miranda. Together, the ensemble offers a musical journey through familiar and lesser-known holiday songs from the Spanish-speaking world, presented in an intimate, family-friendly setting.
