Vizcaya Late: CAP Lab
May 13, 2026
From: 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM
Student-created installations and live music transform the historic interiors of Vizcaya Museum & Gardens during an evening of contemporary art and performance. Vizcaya Late: CAP Lab takes place Wednesday, May 13.
Part of Vizcaya’s Contemporary Arts Program, CAP Lab connects university students with commissioned artists to create original, site-specific works. This edition features projects developed by students from the New World School of the Arts Visual Arts program and the Miami Dade College String Ensemble, inspired by Headwind, Susanne Schirato’s exhibition exploring the relationship between natural forces and human behavior.
For one night, the museum’s historic rooms will host contemporary installations and audiovisual works presented alongside live musical performances by Miami Pixel Symphony, a nonprofit orchestra known for its dynamic interpretations of video game and anime music. Food and drinks will be available for purchase during the evening program.
