Vizcaya Late: Seersucker Social

Step back in time to an era of glamour, jazz and elegance while exploring one of Miami's most treasured historical gems. Vizcaya Late: Seersucker Social returns to Vizcaya Museum & Gardens on Wednesday, March 19.

An evening of jazz, swing and Gatsby-era glamour returns to Vizcaya Museum & Gardens for this annual after-hours celebration.

Vizcaya Late: Seersucker Social takes place Wednesday, March 11, inviting guests to step into the style and spirit of the 1920s at the historic waterfront estate. Set against the backdrop of the Main House and Biscayne Bay, the event blends live music, dance, games and period-inspired fashion in a setting that reflects Vizcaya’s Gilded Age origins.

Jazz, Dance and Garden Games

Live swing jazz fills the East Terrace, where dancers can learn classic steps during group lessons and demonstrations led by Swing Out South Florida. Throughout the gardens, guests can take part in lawn bowling, croquet and yard dice, channeling the leisurely pastimes once enjoyed on the estate.

Inside the Main House, short first-come, first-served talks explore life in the 1920s, offering historical context to the evening’s festivities.

Gatsby Glamour

Guests are encouraged to arrive in Roaring Twenties attire, from flapper dresses to crisp seersucker suits. A costume contest adds a playful touch, with photos taken before 7 p.m. to qualify and the winner announced later in the evening on the East Terrace.

Food, Drinks and Bayfront Views

Light bites, wine and craft beer will be available for purchase at the Vizcaya Café and Shop near the Swimming Pool Grotto, allowing guests to enjoy refreshments while taking in waterfront views.

Members-Only Speakeasy

Active Vizcaya members receive access to an exclusive speakeasy tucked within the Secret Garden, featuring live jazz-era music, a vintage-inspired photo booth, light bites and festive cocktails. Entry is based on membership level, with wristbands distributed at check-in.
