Walgreens Windows Exhibitions: Opening + Walking Tour
Jun 03, 2026
From: 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Storefront installations by Mark Delmont and Beatriz Chachamovits turn North Beach’s Collins Avenue corridor into a setting for public art, walking and conversation. Walgreens Windows Exhibitions: Opening + Walking Tour takes place Wednesday, June 3 in Miami Beach, beginning with a guided walk from 74th Street and Collins Avenue to 67th Street and Collins Avenue. The evening marks the opening of Currents: Labor, Drift, and Collective Navigation, featuring new window-based works by Delmont and Chachamovits.
Delmont’s For a Lifetime brings together painting, photography and video to examine labor, interdependence and embodied knowledge. Drawing from his background in construction and experiences in Suriname, the work reflects on building, repair and care as shared forms of cultural and physical labor. Chachamovits’s Heliotropic Seekers: Drift uses suspended plexiglass reef forms to explore drift as a mode of collective movement, creating a luminous encounter between the street and the sea.
The walking tour runs from 6 to 7 p.m., followed by a reception at Norman’s Tavern, located at 6770 Collins Avenue. The reception is scheduled from 7 to 9 p.m.
