Waves for Mother Nature
Mar 08, 2026
From: 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM
A community shoreline cleanup marks International Women’s Day with environmental action and ocean education at South Pointe Park on Miami Beach. Waves for Mother Nature takes place Sunday, March 8.
Presented by Project Anchor Down and hART Ocean Foundation, the family-friendly event invites volunteers to remove debris from the shoreline while learning about marine pollution and its impact on coastal ecosystems. The morning includes an educational talk titled Port of Miami Corals, offering insight into local reef systems and conservation efforts.
Participants will also have the opportunity to contribute to a coral reef–inspired upcycled art installation led by Michele, founder of hART Ocean Foundation.
All cleanup supplies will be provided. Attendees are encouraged to bring a reusable water bottle and sun protection. Community service hours are available, and volunteers of all ages are welcome.
