We Met at The Bass
Jan 15, 2026
From: 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM
An immersive evening combines local history, art and facilitated conversation during a guided museum experience designed to encourage connection and community.
We Met at The Bass takes place on Thursday, January 15 at The Bass on Miami Beach. Presented by We Met in Miami during the museum’s Third Thursday program, the event features a private, after-hours experience that blends historical storytelling, walking tours and structured social interaction.
Local historian Malcolm Lauredo leads a guided exploration of Miami Beach’s geological and cultural past, inviting participants to imagine the area as it existed millions of years ago. The program includes an outdoor walking route around The Bass with projected imagery on surrounding buildings, followed by time inside the museum to explore a pop-up research tent featuring archival materials, photographs and artifacts.
Designed for adults 21 and over, the evening incorporates facilitated conversations and icebreakers focused on history, art and shared curiosity. Guests are encouraged to explore museum exhibitions, participate in guided discussions and connect with others through structured prompts and social activities. Complimentary wine is available in limited quantities, and parking is available nearby in the Collins Park area.
