“Where Do We Go From Here?” Odes to Music That Keeps Us Alive
Apr 20, 2026
From: 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM
A live poetry and vocal performance exploring themes of grief, connection and healing unfolds within Superblue Miami’s immersive Pulse Topography installation. Taking place Monday, April 20, “Where Do We Go From Here?” Odes to Music That Keeps Us Alive is part of the O, Miami Poetry Festival and brings together local poets and the Threshold Singers for a contemplative, multi-sensory experience.
The program features poets sharing original “odes to music,” followed by responsive songs performed by the Threshold Singers, whose work centers on offering comfort through bedside and end-of-life singing. This alternating format continues throughout the evening, creating a dialogue between spoken word and voice. Guests are invited to disconnect from devices and engage fully with the environment, seated beneath an installation of thousands of lightbulbs pulsing like heartbeats.
Produced in partnership with the Born This Way Foundation, the event is dedicated to individuals affected by suicide, including survivors and those who have experienced loss. With its focus on reflection and collective presence, the program aligns with the O, Miami Poetry Festival’s emphasis on site-specific, community-centered poetry experiences.
