A program of classical masterworks brings the Alhambra Orchestra’s 36th season to a close at the FIU Wertheim Performing Arts Center. World of Music: Alhambra Orchestra’s 36th Season Finale takes place Sunday, April 26.
Directed by conductor Daniel Andai, the orchestra opens the evening with Wilhelm Hübler’s Concerto for Four Horns, highlighting the ensemble’s brass section. The program continues with Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 4, featuring guest soloist Misha Vitenson, a violin professor at Florida International University and first violinist of the acclaimed Amernet Quartet. The concert concludes with Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5, one of the most recognizable and celebrated works in the classical repertoire.
Founded in Miami, the Alhambra Orchestra is a community-based ensemble dedicated to making classical music accessible through affordable performances.
