How To Get To The FIFA World Cup 2026 and FIFA Fan Festival

By Shayne Benowitz - June 05, 2026

The highly anticipated FIFA World Cup 2026 is headed to North America this summer with top soccer teams from around the globe competing for the world title – and Greater Miami and Miami Beach is at the center of the action.

As an official Host City, the destination will welcome tournament games throughout June and July at Hard Rock Stadium (dubbed Miami Stadium during FIFA World Cup 2026) in Miami Gardens. This includes several group stage games (June 15 to 27), a round of 32 game (July 3), a quarterfinal (July 11) and a third-place match bronze final (July 18).

With so much excitement and hundreds of thousands of soccer fans descending on Miami to cheer on the action. Miami is prepared with a public transportation plan that includes free game-day shuttles to and from the stadium, exclusively for verified ticket holders. Fans are encouraged to use public transportation and avoid driving to minimize traffic and get to their destinations with ease.

Everything You Need to Know About Free Game Day Shuttles

Hard Rock Stadium is situated in Miami Gardens, approximately 15 miles north of Downtown Miami and 20 miles northwest of Miami Beach. On FIFA World Cup game days, Miami will provide free game day shuttles exclusively to verified ticket holders from five hubs across the destination.

    The shuttle locations include:

    • Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Plaza Metrorail Station
      • Address: 6205 NW 27th Ave. Miami, FL 33142
      • Parking: No onsite parking available. Fans must be dropped off at the rideshare drop-off/pick-up zone.
    • Golden Glades Park & Ride
      • Address: 16000 St Rd, 9, Miami, FL 33169
      • Parking: Paid parking is available at the Park & Ride Lot.
    • Brightline Aventura Station
      • Address: 19796 W Dixie Hwy, Miami, FL 33180
      • Parking: Paid parking is available at the Brightline Aventura station.
    • Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino
      • Address: 1 Seminole Way, Hollywood, FL 33314
      • Parking: Paid parking is available at Lot 70.
    • AmerantBank Arena
      • Address: 1 Panther Pkwy, Sunrise, FL 33323
      • Parking: Paid parking is available at D Lot and A Lot.

Important: Shuttle service operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Arriving at a designated transportation hub does not guarantee immediate access to a shuttle or on-time arrival to the stadium. Fans are strongly encouraged to plan ahead and allow extra travel time on match days.

    When Will Shuttles Begin Boarding?

Shuttles will begin boarding four hours prior to game time, with the first shuttle departing three and a half hours before game time. Return shuttle service to the four hubs will begin as soon as the game ends from designated areas at the stadium and will run for 1.5 hours post-match. Fans may begin arriving at the hubs up to 5 hours before kickoff (1 hour before boarding begins).

Reservations are not necessary. Upon boarding the free shuttle, stadium staff will be on-site to scan tickets and address any issues. Tickets will be scanned a second time upon arrival at the stadium. To help move fans efficiently, buses will be dispatched from each hub continuously as hubs reach capacity.

Regular rideshares drop off at designated FIFA lots with free shuttles to the stadium.

How To Get to The Stadium Without Using the Free Shuttles

Option 1: Rideshare or Walk to Designated Lot Near Stadium

During the FIFA World Cup, Hard Rock Stadium will operate under strict security perimeters and controlled access zones. Fans will not be permitted to walk directly to the stadium, even if they are staying at a nearby hotel or live within walking distance. All attendees must first be dropped off or arrive at one of the yet-to-be-announced designated transportation lots near the stadium, where complimentary shuttle buses will transport fans into the stadium grounds.

Uber will offer a dedicated shuttle service for verified ticket holders traveling from Brickell and Miami Beach, with direct service to the stadium. Seats can be reserved through the Uber app for $45 each way. On return trips, the service will include an additional drop-off location in Downtown Miami, in addition to the existing drop-off points in Brickell and Miami Beach. Fans using regular rideshare services will be directed to the designated drop-off lots outside the stadium, where they will transfer to a free shuttle for transportation to the venue.

For those staying in Miami Gardens, Freebee, a complimentary local transportation service offering free rides throughout the neighborhood, may be a convenient alternative to paid rideshare services when traveling to the designated lot.

    Option 2: Buy Stadium Parking

Fans can also drive to Hard Rock Stadium by purchasing an official parking pass, available exclusively to match ticket holders. Parking passes must be purchased in advance, as no parking sales will be available on match days. Availability is limited to one parking pass per ticket holder, and stadium parking lots will open 4 hours before kickoff.

    Stadium Guidelines & Tips

Fans attending FIFA matches should be aware of the following entry policies before arriving on match day:

    • All bags carried by fans must be made of clear plastic and no larger than 12”x 6”x 12”. They are subject to inspection at the stadium entrance.
    • Small clutch purses or wallets approximately the size of a hand are allowed, even if not clear, and must be no larger than 4.5”x 6.5”.
    • Camera bags and covers are not permitted. The only exceptions are bags for medical needs.
    • Small flags, banners and posters are permitted in the stadium and must not exceed 78”x 60”.
    • Re-entry to the stadium is not permitted.

To be fully prepared for your FIFA World Cup 2026 experience at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium, there’s a full list of stadium policies to review, along with everything you should know before you go.

    Metromover
Don’t miss a moment. Metromover and Metrorail operate late for FIFA fans.

Bayfront Park Fan Festival Fun & Transportation

While attending a FIFA World Cup 2026 match at Hard Rock Stadium is no doubt a once-in-a-lifetime experience, Greater Miami and Miami Beach will be celebrating with plenty of events, activations and parties throughout the destination.

In Downtown Miami, Bayfront Park will host the free FIFA Fan Festival June 13 to July 5. It’s the ultimate party for soccer fans to come together over their love of the game. Throughout the waterfront park, the festival will broadcast matches live on big screens and fans will enjoy interactive experiences, live music, food, drinks and camaraderie in an iconic Downtown Miami setting.

With road closures and detours expected, fans are encouraged to use public transportation when getting to, from and around Downtown Miami. Here are some ways you can travel to the 23-day Fan Fest:

    • The Metromover (free) and Metrorail will operate until midnight during FIFA Fan Festival, with extended service until 1 a.m. on June 23, 25, 27 and July 4th.
    • The closest Metromover stations to Bayfront Park include:
      • Bayfront Park Station:150 S Biscayne Boulevard
      • First Street Station:225 NE First Street
      • College/Bayside Station:225 NE 3 Street
      • College North Station:100 NE 5 Street
    • Metrobus will also increase the number of buses and supervisors on key routes in the area.
    • The free City of Miami Trolley, City of Miami Beach Water Taxi and Downtown-Brickell Freebee are also excellent transportation options for getting around.
    • If you prefer to walk, the Government Center station located on 101 NW First Street is just a 15-minute walk to Fan Fest and has transfers to and from Brightline, Metrorail and Tri-Rail.

Are You Traveling From Outside Miami?

    • For those traveling from outside of Miami-Dade County, Tri-Rail will operate a World Cup Express route connecting Broward and Palm Beach counties to the Miami Game Day Express hubs.
    • Similarly, Brightline – with its Miami Central terminal just blocks from Bayfront Park–will operate with extended hours throughout FIFA World Cup 2026 and FIFA Fan Festival. Brightline stops in Aventura, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, West Palm Beach and Orlando.

With so many public transportation options at your service during FIFA World Cup 2026 and FIFA Fan Festival, getting around Greater Miami and Miami Beach should be a breeze.
