    Delano

The Delano is home to one of the most iconic pools in South Beach. Fontainebleau

For a storied oceanfront resort where Frank Sinatra once held court and the first scene of James Bond’s Golden Eye was filmed on the pool deck, all signs point to the fabulous Fontainebleau. Designed by architect Morris Lapidus in 1954, it oozes Miami Modern style with curvilinear lines and one of the most lavish oceanfront poolscapes on Miami Beach. There are no less than 11 separate pools on the grounds, anchored by the enormous bowtie pool, a nod to Lapidus’ original bowtie marble floors that still adorn the lobby today. There are various cabana and daybed options, as well as a family pool with a waterslide. When hunger calls, enjoy oceanfront Mediterranean dining from La Côte or the comfort of your lounge chair.

        Mondrian

The semi-circle-shaped pool opens up to the bay, surrounded by lounge chairs, daybeds and cabanas. You’ll also find an arcade of enormous hedges and an oversized cabana over a lawn, adding to the surreal beauty of the whole vibe. And, of course, the poolside bar and restaurant is always at your service.

          The Standard Miami Beach

Situated on Belle Isle on the Venetian Causeway and floating between Miami Beach and the mainland Miami, The Standard provides an idyllic poolscape set directly on Biscayne Bay. The zero entry swimming pool is surrounded by lemon yellow lounge chairs with a cold plunge and deluge shower designed to work out the kinks in your muscles. Anchored by its third floor spa with an arena-style hammam and wellness classes, the entire property takes on a hip, tranquil vibe.

            The Miami Beach EDITION

Situated inside a historic mid-century modern building on a double lot overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, The Miami Beach EDITION has retained the property’s throwback charm and blended it with modern luxury. The poolscape features a grassy rolling lawn with two swimming pools, one restored and featuring a replica of the original diving platform. The lawn is anchored by the Tropicale bar, which resides inside a cabana with a rooftop spire surrounded by cushions for optimal lounging. Order the lobster grilled cheese and a Tecate beer for the perfect poolside afternoon lunch.

              Plymouth South Beach

For a boutique hotel with a ton of charm in South Beach’s desirable Collins Park neighborhood, check into the Plymouth hotel and then check out its adorable courtyard swimming pool. Designed by the same team behind Hollywood’s Chateau Marmont, the checker-tiled pool deck oozes chic mid-century charm with bougainvilleas crawling up the walls and peach lounge chairs, striped umbrellas and room awnings to match. It’s also home to Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill with a cocktail bar and menu servicing the pool.
