Shopping

Aventura Mall, located in the northern part of Miami, completed a major $214 million expansion a couple of years ago making it one of the largest shopping centers in the United States. The additions included a massive food hall, a 315,000-square-foot three-level wing, world-renowned art installations and several new world-famous tenants.
The Slide and Newest Wing
The crown jewel of this incredible expansion has to be the 93-foot "Aventura Slide Tower," designed by German sculptor Carsten Höller and the Miami firm Permuy Architecture. This massive spiral landmark is not just art, but an actual functioning slide that is free to those more than 44-inches tall. Get ready for a nine-story climb to the top, which will get your heart pumping with anticipation for the inevitable high-speed plunge to the ground so far below. The slide is closed for the season and will be reopening this Fall.
This beacon to glass and steel is also the entrance to the mall’s newest wing, which is fronted by an 84-foot glass by 50-foot glass wall topped with an expansive skylight shining sunlight over ground level shoppers. As a glorious finale, there is a skyview rooftop terrace and LEVEL THREE, an on-property private event venue featuring indoor and outdoor space of 25,000 square feet, designed by acclaimed architect, Carlos Zapata available for private events.
The Shops
The mall currently includes a collection of upscale boutiques, including Hermès, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Givenchy, Cartier, Valentino, Tiffany & Co. and Fendi, as well as more than 300 shopper favorites such as Nike, Apple, Ted Baker, Anthropologie and Urban Outfitters. It’s also anchored by Nordstrom, Bloomingdale's, JCPenney, Macy's, and AMC Aventura 24 Theatres. In the newest wing, you will find such illustrious new tenants as Tesla, a flagship Burberry's and a two-level, 34,000-square-foot Zara.
The Art
The three-level expansion wing is also accentuated with additions to the “Arts Aventura Mall” program which includes the aforementioned Slide Tower as well as artwork by Swiss artist Ugo Rondinone and art-furniture master Wendell Castle. An outdoor splash fountain at the wing's main entrance also showcases bronze sculptures by The Haas Brothers, making this mall one of the most art focused in the country.
The Food
There is an impressive lineup at the revamped Treats Food Hall, which occupies the third floor of the newest wing. Included in the illustrious list is Chipotle Mexican Grill, Shake Shack, Zuuk Mediterranean Kitchen, Villa Italian Kitchen, Poke 305, Little Brittany Creperie, and The Bol. Other restaurants in the wing's outdoor plaza include Motek, CVI.CHE 105, Tap 42, Pubbelly Sushi, Serafina, PANI, Pollo & Jarras and Rosetta Bakery.
