Miami’s Best Asian Restaurants

Elegant sushi platter at Zuma Miami

Miami’s Best Asian Restaurants

By Angela Caraway - August 07, 2026

While we can’t even begin to count all of the amazing Asian food places across Greater Miami and Miami Beach, we promise there’s something for every craving. From inventive sushi that goes beyond the average California roll to upscale Chinese food, sizzling Korean BBQ, modern fusion and an extravagant weekend brunch buffet, the options are as diverse as they are delicious. Here’s your guide to the best Asian restaurants in Miami.

Outdoor terrace at Tanuki at River Landing Miami
Enjoy sushi, dim sum and waterfront dining at Tanuki.

    Tanuki River Landing

Tanuki River Landing nails modern Asian fusion cuisine with only-in-Miami vibes. The restaurant sits along the Miami River, just west of Downtown Miami and Brickell, with tropical interiors and a riverfront patio that begs lingering.

Expect a menu with a wide variety of dishes, from sushi to dim sum and hot dishes from the robata grill and wok. Signature dishes include the truffle yellowtail sushi roll, chicken and pork gyoza, udon noodles, sweet and sour chicken and crispy Brussel sprouts. Wash it down with a wasabi martini.

     Hakkasan's steamed crystal lobster dumplings
Experience upscale Chinese dining at Hakkasan Miami Beach.

    Hakkasan Miami Beach

When you’re craving contemporary, high-end Chinese, a reservation at Hakkasan inside the Fontainebleau Miami Beach Hotel is worth the splurge. This Miami Beach outpost of the London original is high-energy, with lively music and a moody vibe, catering to a posh night out with friends or a romantic celebration tucked away in a corner.

Sip on a lychee martini and run through the menu of signature Cantonese dishes, including the lobster with garlic and ginger, Peking duck, orange chicken, XO fried rice and a dim sum platter. For a daytime delight, try their weekend dim sum brunch with a flurry of dumplings and shareable small plates.

Dish served at Jaya artfully plated
Experience upscale Pan-Asian dining at Jaya at The Setai.

    Jaya

If an elegant outdoor courtyard and live entertainment paired with Pan-Asian cuisine sounds like the perfect night, Jaya at The Setai Hotel in South Beach is for you. Jaya is one of the best Miami Beach restaurants, thanks to its take on regional specialties from across South Asia.

Indulge in truffle dumplings, the restaurant’s signature Peking duck, stir-fried Thai beef and the chef’s daily platter of Indian samplers. While the Asian-inspired dining room is gorgeous, make a reservation for the courtyard with its serene water features and live entertainment.

The Butchers Feast at COTE Miami
Treat yourself to MICHELIN-starred Korean barbecue at COTE Miami.

    COTE Miami

COTE Miami, located in the Miami Design District, is a sleek, dimly lit den serving up high-end Korean barbecue and excellent cocktails and wine. At the MICHELIN-starred restaurant, premium meats and veggies are grilled in the center of your table by the staff.

Standout starters include the steak and eggs (filet mignon with caviar), crispy Korean bacon and their version of ceviche. For the full experience, treat yourself to one of the tasting menus, like the Butcher’s Feast, which comes with prime cuts of meat prepared barbecue-style and sides like rich stews and an egg soufflé. The soft-serve ice cream is the perfect finisher.

    KYU Cauliflower dish
    Indulge in KYU's pan-Asian dishes.

    KYU

KYU pronounced like “Q” in Wynwood is popular for its unique and crave-worthy interpretations of Asian cuisine and dishes cooked on a wood-fire grill. This trendy, industrial-chic spot is a great place to share an array of dishes for lunch or dinner.

Go for fan-favorites such as the fall-off-the-bone short ribs, the Korean fried chicken, soft bao buns stuffed with either pork belly or soft-shell crab, Thai fried rice served in a stone pot and the famous roasted cauliflower. Don’t skip delicious sides, like the Japanese sweet potato.

    Hiden

Everyone likes a good culinary hidden gem, and finding the secret door to Hiden in Wynwood is definitely part of the fun. Nestled behind a taco stand, the eight-seat restaurant flaunts a coveted MICHELIN star for its unique omakase experience and fine food. The tasting menu is seasonal, but you can expect raw fish flown in from Japan mingled with fresh, regional ingredients. Reservations are a must, so be sure to make yours well in advance.

Meals plated in metal canisters at Ghee
Enjoy chef-driven Indian cuisine made with garden-fresh ingredients.

    Ghee Indian Kitchen

Ghee Indian Kitchen has some of the best Indian food in Miami. The MICHELIN Guide thinks so too, consistently granting the restaurant a Bib Gourmand designation for quality and value. Ghee now has locations in Dadeland and Wynwood, and fresh produce from Chef Niven Patel’s garden in Homestead results in culinary delights.

Go for the tasting menu, or try fan favorites like the samosas, chicken tikka masala, short rib dosa, crispy broccoli with mushrooms and red pepper sauce and any of the naans.

    Plated Japanese cuisine at Zuma
Zuma’s signature dishes bring Japanese cuisine to life in Miami.

    Zuma Miami

A longtime local favorite, Zuma Miami at the Kimpton EPIC Miami Hotel in Downtown Miami puts a sophisticated twist on Japanese izakaya. Enjoy beautiful views of the Miami River while savoring an array of sushi, seafood and meats from the robata grill. Can’t-miss signature dishes are the miso black cod and rice hot pot with mushrooms and fresh truffles. Zuma is also beloved for its lavish weekend buffet brunch, with live cooking stations and flowing champagne.

    Tâm Tâm

Locals will lead you to their favorite Vietnamese joint, Tâm Tâm, serving up authentic home-cooked flavors through a modern and unfussy lens. The funky Downtown Miami dining spot makes a statement with its retro décor and fun menu of shareable plates, often tinged with local ingredients.

The cozy, diner-like restaurant earned the MICHELIN Big Gourmand distinction in 2024 and 2025 for its incredible quality and value. Go for the tamarind glazed pork ribs, scallop pomelo crudo, wings with a sticky caramel fish sauce and the steak tartare with fire ant salt. Order a bottle of biodynamic wine to pair with your meal, and finish with a seasonal soft serve and boozy Vietnamese coffee.

    Lung Yai Thai Tapas

It may not look like much from the outside, but Lung Yai Thai Tapas delivers on authentic Thai street food by a Bangkok-born chef paired with lightning-fast service. At this intimate gem located in Little Havana, dig into shrimp and pork dumplings, crispy spring rolls, red and green curries, and Northern specialties like the larb muang (ground pork salad) and Khao Soi noodles in a golden curry sauce. To reduce wait times, Lung Yai has a one-time order policy, so it helps to look at the menu ahead of time and plan your order.

Assorted sushi plate at Makoto restaurant
Savor inventive Japanese cuisine at Makoto.

    Makoto

For creative Japanese cuisine and sushi, follow the well-dressed crowd to Makoto in Bal Harbour. The happy-hued restaurant by lauded chef Makoto Okuwa is located on the third level of the chic Bal Harbour Shops, and its sun-dappled patio is a popular spot for a leisurely lunch.

Keep your chopsticks handy for inventive sushi, including the popular tuna crispy rice roll, and enjoy a signature Bento box (at lunch). Diners also enjoy grilling Wagyu beef over hot lava stones at their table, and rave about the whole cauliflower dish with whipped feta tofu.
