Plan Your Dream Cruise with these PortMiami Cruise Lines
- September 24, 2026
PortMiami is the busiest cruise port in the world and your gateway to unforgettable adventures. Top cruise lines and state-of-the-art ships offer endless cruise possibilities from 10 passenger terminals. The port easily and safely conveys passengers to their vessels in beautiful downtown facilities, earning its third consecutive Best Cruise Port Award in 2026 as voted by Global Traveler magazine’s more than 800,000 wealthy and globe-crossing readers.
Whether you're dreaming of the Caribbean, Mexico, South America, trans-Atlantic voyages or even a circumnavigation, PortMiami has a perfect cruise experience for you. Here’s a look at some of the great cruise lines and beautiful ships offering voyages from PortMiami.
Azamara Cruises
Azamara Cruises offers an intimate and immersive cruising experience from Miami, with a focus on destination-rich itineraries and exceptional onboard service. Azamara's boutique-style ships, including the Azamara Onward, deliver elegant accommodations and curated voyages to exotic destinations. The Onward is typical of Azamara’s ships.
At 592 feet long, the vessel handles Atlantic crossings but also can dock in less-traveled ports where larger ships can’t fit. Known for longer port stays and unique overnight experiences, Azamara ensures that its guests (max 684 with 408 staff) can explore each destination to their heart’s content.

Carnival Cruise Line
Carnival Cruise Line sails large “fun ships” that live up to the brand’s name. After all, few words describe unbridled celebration like “Carnival.” The company’s customers skew younger; the company raised its minimum age for unaccompanied passengers from 18 to 21. The prices for many of its large ships are more attainable than those of some other cruise lines. Its ships’ nightly dance parties are less foxtrot and more the latest moves. You’ll find more rollercoasters than shuffleboard courts.
Carnival Celebration, one of the fleet's most innovative vessels, features six themed zones, including the “Ultimate Playground” with a rollercoaster and water slides, in its 1,130-foot length. The restaurants catering to its 5,500 passengers range from formal to poolside, with cuisine from burgers, to sushi, to Italian to steakhouse. Other standout Carnival ships sailing from Miami include the 1,055-foot, 3,960-passenger Carnival Horizon and the 893-foot, 2,984-passenger Carnival Sunrise.
Celebrity Cruises
Celebrity Cruises offers a luxurious and sophisticated cruising experience featuring modern, award-winning ships. Leading the fleet from Miami is the line’s newest ship, the Celebrity Xcel, which was launched in November 2025. It is one of Celebrity’s innovative Edge class of vessels. The Xcel has two Edge class sister ships, including the Celebrity Beyond, which also has sailings from PortMiami.
The Edge ships are 1,071 feet long and carry about 3,200 passengers. They are known for stunning design and world-class dining. Their most standout (literally) feature is the Magic Carpet, which is thrust from the side of the ship and can move up and down like an elevator.
Cunard
Cunard is elevating Miami's cruise offerings with the Queen Elizabeth, which has undergone a significant refurbishment. The ship was launched in 2010 with Art Deco and other design influences harking back to famed ships carrying her name. The 964-foot shipcarries a maximum of only 2,074 passengers on a series of roundtrip Caribbean voyages from PortMiami.
With itineraries ranging from 9 to 21 nights, these sailings visit stunning destinations such as Bridgetown, Barbados; San Juan, Puerto Rico; and St. John’s, Antigua, blending tropical adventure with Cunard’s signature luxury. Cunard’s Queen Anne, launched in 2024 and 1,058 feet long, is scheduled for trips from Miami to Los Angeles, Miami to Southampton, England and Miami to Sydney, Australia, in 2028.
Holland America Line
Holland America Line’s Zuiderdam promises a luxury cruise experience on several multi-day Caribbean itineraries. This division of Royal Caribbean is popular among people seeking cultural enrichment and premium service. Known for its elegant design and best-in-class amenities, Zuiderdam, which debuted in PortMiami in November 2025, caters to travelers seeking immersive voyages. It was launched in 2002 and is 935 feet long. Its maximum of 2,272 passengers can look forward to exploring beautiful beaches, vibrant cultures and historical landmarks across several Caribbean countries.
These itineraries include popular ports of call such as St. Maarten, Grand Turk and Half Moon Cay, Holland America Line's private island retreat. Zuiderdam's Miami sailings in 2027 will include two trans-Atlantic voyages disembarking in Amsterdam.
MSC Cruises
MSC Cruises offers stylish cruising experiences on state-of-the-art ships following diverse itineraries to the Caribbean and beyond. Its ships come and go from PortMiami using the company’s new terminal, hailed as the largest in the world. The four-story facility can serve three ships at a time and 36,000 passengers coming and going per day. It also has its own 2,400-space parking garage. Among the MSC ships using the new terminal is a new ship, the 1,092-foot, 22-deck MSC World America, which debuted in March 2025 with eco-friendly innovations and cutting-edge amenities for its 6,764 passengers.
Cruising to the Bahamas year-round is the MSC Seaside, launched in 2017, which has an eight-deck atrium inside and walkways on the outside as low as deck eight, some with glass floors giving guests amazing views of the sea below. MSC has three other ships departing from PortMiami, including the MSC Seashore, a sister of the Seaside, and the MSC Meraviglia, which features a 315-foot central promenade lined with boutiques and restaurants and sails to the Bahamas and Caribbean as well as one-way voyages to Europe. With visits to exclusive destinations such as the Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, MSC Cruises works to combine sustainability, sophistication and adventure.

Norwegian Cruise Line
Norwegian Cruise Line offers a premium cruising experience with a fleet of modern and innovative ships. Its newest vessel, the Norwegian Luna, was christened at PortMiami in March 2026. The ship is remarkable for the enormous, beautiful graphics covering its 1,056-foot hull. The Luna entertains up to 1,565 guests with stage shows and what is billed as the longest and fastest water slide at sea. The Luna’s itineraries feature the company’s private islands, Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas, and Harvest Caye, Belize.
Other Norwegian Line ships sailing from Miami include the Norwegian Viva, launched in 2023 as the second ship in the groundbreaking Prima Class, which boast stunning design, elevated accommodations, and attractions to thrill 3,195 guests. Also sailing from Miami is the Norwegian Prima, first in the class of ships, which has offered expansive open spaces, best-in-class dining and captivating entertainment since 2022. PortMiami also hosts other fan-favorite ships such as the Norwegian Encore and Norwegian Breakaway, journeying to ports in the Caribbean and the Bahamas, among other destinations.
Oceania Cruises
Oceania Cruises offers a luxury cruising experience featuring some of the finest cuisine of any cruise line. Its elegant, mid-sized ships are known for their refined ambiance and longer itineraries. Its ships sailing from PortMiami are the stunning Vista, a 2023 addition to Oceania’s fleet that offers spacious accommodations for up to 1,200 passengers; the Insignia, the Sirena, the Marina, and the Allura. In addition to roundtrips, Oceania cruises one way from Miami to Montreal and cities in South America and Europe.
Princess Cruises
Princess Cruises has been pampering guests with high-end ships and experiences in voyages that nevertheless represent great values for 60 years. From Miami the company offers Caribbean experiences of seven to 14 days aboard the Regal Princess, a 1,083-foot, 3,560-passenger vessel.
Regal Princess features 1,400 balconies and a glass-floor walkway extending 28 feet beyond the edge of the ship. Launched in 2014, the ship in 2022 was the setting for the reality TV show The Real Love Boat. Earlier Princess ships starred in the original TV series.
Regent Seven Seas Cruises
Regent Seven Seas Cruises offers an upscale, extra-luxury cruising experience, featuring all-inclusive voyages aboard some of the most elegant ships at sea. Sailing from Miami, the Seven Seas Grandeur sets the standard for opulence, showcasing exquisite design, beautiful décor and finishes, gourmet dining and personalized service.
Typical of the company’s smaller vessels, the ship — christened in 2023 — is 735 feet long and it carries only 746 guests. Joining the fleet are equally upscale favorites such as the Seven Seas Explorer, the Seven Seas Mariner and the Seven Seas Splendor, all known for their spacious all-suite accommodations and immersive itineraries.
Royal Caribbean Cruise Line
Royal Caribbean has many vessels sailing out of PortMiami, most notably the Icon of the Seas, which debuted in 2024 as the largest cruise ship ever built. It is 1,198 feet long, has 20 decks and features an expansive water park and neighborhoods designed for every traveler. Utopia of the Seas (2024), Wonder of the Seas (2022), Symphony of the Seas (2018), Allure of the Seas (2010) and Oasis of the Seas (2009; refit 2019) all are Oasis Class ships, which were the largest cruise ships until they were eclipsed by Royal Caribbean’s Icon Class giants.
The slightly smaller Freedom Class ships, Independence of the Seas (2008) and Freedom of the Seas (2006), were the world’s largest ships until they were dethroned by the Oasis Class. Royal Caribbean’s passenger demographics skew younger than some of its competitors and now requires solo travelers to be at least 21 years old, up from 18.
Seabourn Cruise Line
Seabourn Cruise Line caters to discerning travelers seeking intimate, longer voyages and personalized service. To that end, Seabourn’s ships are smaller and carry far fewer passengers in a private-yacht-like atmosphere with cabins that all are ocean-front suites, most of them with private verandas. The ships’ smaller size allows them to visit ports of call that the larger cruises must bypass. The Seabourn vessel primarily departing from PortMiami is the elegant Seabourn Quest, which is 650 feet long and provides refined accommodations, gourmet dining and enriching onboard programs for a maximum of 458 guests.
Itineraries offered from Miami include 10- and 14-day explorations of such less-visited Caribbean islands as Jost Van Dyke in the British Virgin Islands, Anguilla, Dominica and Martinique. The Quest also leaves from Miami on one-way trans-Atlantic voyages, visits to French Polynesia and, beyond, to New Zealand and a circumnavigation of Australia.
Silversea Cruises
A ship that began making voyages from PortMiami in May 2026 is Silversea Cruises’ Silver Nova. Silversea is a luxury marque of Royal Caribbean specializing in the best crew-to-passenger ratios, true all-inclusive experiences and smaller ships that can explore global off-the-cruising-track destinations. The Silver Nova is not one of the line’s exploration vessels but, at 801 feet long, there are not many places it can’t go.
Though it’s not as big as some cruise ships, it is designed with expansive decks, spacious suites and panoramic views. It also doesn’t lack for variety in its offerings to its 728 passengers. It has eight restaurants, each with its own global cuisine, and 10 themed bars and lounges. Its luxury service is delivered by 556 crew, including butlers in every suite category.
Virgin Voyages
Virgin Voyages redefines cruising with its adult-only ships and bold, modern approach to travel that began with its parent company, The Virgin Group, founded by Sir Richard Branson. Its four ships are nearly identical, are 909 feet long and carry up to 2,270 passengers. They were launched between 2020 and 2025. The Scarlet Lady, Virgin's flagship, offers itineraries to the Caribbean, featuring onboard experiences such as world-class dining with no buffets; boutique, hotel-style cabins; and exhilarating entertainment.
Many of the trips include stops at the company’s Beach Club on Bimini in the Bahamas. Cruises from Miami are made by all four of the company’s ships. The other three are Valiant Lady, Resilient Lady and Brilliant Lady. Each delivers stunning voyages with a fresh twist on luxury and relaxation.
