Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $95,000–$100,000

About the Venue
The award-winning Miami Beach Convention Center is a LEED Silver-certified, state-of-the-art venue featuring 500,000 sq ft of exhibition space, ballrooms, breakout rooms, and outdoor event areas, located near South Beach, Lincoln Road, and Ocean Drive.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, and audit coordination
- Prepare financial statements, accruals, and journal entries in accordance with GAAP
- Maintain reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts
- Support financial strategy, budgeting, and business planning initiatives
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Ensure compliance with corporate and local financial policies
- Supervise accounting staff and manage departmental workflow
- Act as proxy for the Finance Director when needed
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls
- Advanced analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, Sage, ADP, Coupa or similar)
- Advanced Excel proficiency
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (required)
- Master’s degree (preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience
- Experience with audits, financial analysis, and budgeting
- Experience presenting to ownership preferred
- CPA, CMA, MBA, or similar certifications preferred
