May 31, 2025 - Sep 01, 2025
From: 10:00 AM to 06:00 PM
Interactive displays, thought-provoking art and hands-on experiments come together in this special exhibition exploring the growing role of artificial intelligence in modern life. From ancient myths to the latest research in machine learning, the exhibit traces humanity’s evolving relationship with intelligent machines through a mix of historical context and immersive, future-focused installations.
AI: More Than Human opens Saturday, May 31 at the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science and will run through Monday, September 1. Developed by London’s Barbican Centre and co-produced by Groningen Forum in the Netherlands, this traveling exhibition invites visitors to explore how AI is shaping everything from creativity to ethics. Guests will engage with cutting-edge projects by artists and researchers such as Joy Buolamwini, Mario Klingemann, Neri Oxman and Massive Attack, while also considering complex questions around consciousness, identity and machine autonomy.
The exhibition is located in the Hsiao Family Special Exhibition Gallery on the museum’s first floor. Entry is included with general admission to Frost Science. Local sponsorship is provided by Amazon.
