Art Deco through Dance and Music
Jan 11, 2026
From: 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM
A performative lecture uses live dance and chamber music to explore the cultural spirit of the Art Deco era through movement and sound. Art Deco through Dance and Music takes place on Sunday, January 11 at The Wolfsonian–FIU on Miami Beach. Presented as part of Art Deco Weekend, the program brings together Dance NOW! Miami and the South Beach Chamber Ensemble for an experiential lecture that highlights the music and dance traditions associated with the Art Deco period.
Blending performance with historical context, the event examines how rhythm, style and movement helped shape the era’s cultural identity. The program is organized by The Wolfsonian–FIU in collaboration with the Miami Design Preservation League and is part of the broader 100 Years of Art Deco: A World Celebration in Miami Beach. Seating is limited, and tickets are required.
