Artist Talk: In Conversation with Josh Kline
May 31, 2026
From: 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM
Artist Josh Kline discusses the social, technological and environmental questions that shape his work in a live program at the Rubell Museum. Artist Talk: In Conversation with Josh Kline takes place Sunday, May 31, presented by Bas Fisher Invitational and the Rubell Museum. The program includes a presentation by Kline followed by an audience Q&A moderated by artist Naomi Fisher, co-founder and director of BFI.
Kline is known for immersive installations that examine labor precarity, class inequity, climate crisis and the social effects of emerging technologies. His work has been exhibited at the Rubell Museum since 2014, and recent major solo presentations include exhibitions at MOCA Los Angeles and the Whitney Museum of American Art. He currently has a solo exhibition at Mori Art Museum in Tokyo and is an artist in residence at STPI in Singapore.
Fisher’s own practice is rooted in feminist botanical knowledge and South Florida ecosystems. Through Bas Fisher Invitational, which she co-founded in Miami in 2004, she has supported artist-centered programming that engages urgent social, political and economic issues in Miami’s cultural landscape.
The event is open to the public with required RSVP. The live program will not be recorded.
