Apr 27, 2026
From: 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM
A conversation with French artist Ismaël Joffroy Chandoutis at Bakehouse Art Complex explores the intersections of contemporary art, film and emerging technologies. Taking place Monday, April 27, the event is presented in collaboration with Villa Albertine and the French Consulate General in Miami, offering insight into the artist’s current research and creative practice.
Working across video, installation and performance, Chandoutis examines themes of digital identity, memory and the evolving nature of reality in an online environment. During the program, he will discuss his residency project Goldberg Variations, a hybrid film that investigates online behavior, identity fragmentation and the blurred boundaries between fiction and lived experience.
His work has been presented internationally at institutions and festivals including the Centre Pompidou, the Venice Biennale and Cannes Critics’ Week. The evening provides an opportunity for discussion and exchange in an informal setting.
