From: 10:00 AM to 05:00 PM
A family-focused convention celebrating independent creativity comes to the Marjorie and William McDonald Center as Beyond Comicon offers a full day of comics, fashion, gaming and animation. Designed as an entry point for future creators, the gathering brings together artists, writers and designers whose work spans genres and mediums.
Beyond Comicon return February 28, featuring vendors and independent makers presenting comics, original art, fashion designs, anime, films, video games and cosplay work. Attendees can meet the creators behind emerging series, purchase artwork and explore new projects across the exhibition floor. The event also includes creative panels led by professionals in animation, drawing and design, offering insight into various aspects of the production process.
A special feature panel and screening from JaFLEU, Haitian American filmmaker, animator and creator of Peanut Headz: Black History Toonz, adds to the day’s programming. The first 100 guests will receive a complimentary comic book and an exclusive Beyond Comicon print. Admission is $5, with free entry for children 12 and under with a paid adult, and parking is provided at no cost.
Presented by Gmoss Designs and sponsored by the Mayor and Commission of the City of North Miami Beach, the event creates an accessible space for discovering new voices and engaging with the region’s creative community.
