Beyond the Pages: The Electrifying Fall of Rainbow City
Jan 09, 2026
From: 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM
History and spectacle converge in this month’s edition of Beyond the Pages, a book club series that connects literature to themes from The Wolfsonian–FIU’s collection. January’s discussion centers on Margaret Creighton’s The Electrifying Fall of Rainbow City: Spectacle and Assassination at the 1901 World's Fair, a gripping account of the Pan-American Exposition in Buffalo and the scandals that shaped its legacy.
Beyond the Pages: The Electrifying Fall of Rainbow City takes place Friday, January 9 at The Wolfsonian–FIU on Miami Beach. The conversation will be led by chief librarian Frank Luca and draws connections to the museum’s current exhibition World’s Fairs: Visions of Tomorrow. Free and open to the public.
