Broadway in the Gardens

A cultural evening spotlighting Black excellence in theater returns to Miami Gardens as Broadway in the Gardens takes the stage at Florida Memorial University.

Presented by City of Miami Gardens Councilwoman Katrina Baskin, the annual program celebrates the influence and artistry of Black performers within the Broadway tradition, creating space for storytelling, performance and community gathering. While the 2026 performance lineup has not yet been announced, the event is known for showcasing diverse talent and honoring the lasting impact of Black voices in American theater.

Broadway in the Gardens takes place Friday, February 27 at the Lou Rawls Center for the Performing Arts at Florida Memorial University, continuing its role as a signature cultural experience for Miami Gardens.
