Experience a genre-blending night of live music as two dynamic Miami-based ensembles share the stage at the historic Lyric Theater in Overtown.

Burgundee & Visions, presented by the Sunshine Jazz Organization, takes place Friday, August 1 and features a double headliner performance highlighting the city’s diverse and evolving jazz scene. Burgundee brings a mix of R&B, jazz and neo-soul, led by vocalist Beatriz Guzman and backed by a rhythm section known for its infectious grooves and inventive arrangements. Their recent album When The Sun Goes Down continues to build on the acclaim sparked by their breakout EP Reflections.

Visions, under the direction of drummer and composer Alfonso Velasco, delivers a sound rooted in jazz traditions while weaving in global rhythms, hip-hop, funk and Afro-Latin influences. Following the release of their debut full-length album Elevation, the group has established itself as a voice in contemporary fusion.

This annual summer concert is part of the Sunshine Jazz Organization’s mission to spotlight local talent and expand access to live jazz through performances across Miami.
