Butterfly Walk

Become a citizen scientist for a morning. Join a guided Butterfly Walk at Deering Estate, offered every 4th Saturday from June to September. Explore the diverse habitats of the Estate in search of native butterflies, including the Ruddy Daggerwing, Dina Yellow and Atala. Learn from experienced guides and contribute to conservation efforts by documenting your sightings on the iNaturalist app. This family-friendly program is a perfect way to spend a summer morning outdoors and connect with nature. Walks take place from 11:00 a.m. to noon and require pre-registration at the Deering Estate Main Gate.
