Discover Miami’s Cultural Melting Pot During Carnaval On The Mile
Part of Miami’s citywide Carnaval Festival throughout the month of March, Carnaval on the Mile is a weekend-long celebration situated in the heart of Coral Gables along Miracle Mile. It’s a festive, family-friendly atmosphere beloved by locals filled with live music, crafts and delicious food. The annual tradition brings the community together to celebrate Miami’s vibrant Latin and Caribbean cultures.
Come out to Coral Gables March 7-8, 2020 where you’ll find Carnaval on the Mile’s bustling Artist Village taking over Miracle Mile featuring over 200 vendors selling everything from arts and crafts to jewelry, paintings, sculpture and photography. The street is flanked by two large stages for live entertainment including jazz, funk and rock music, as well as children’s shows. Past performers have included Chris Cab, Palo! and Locos Por Juana.
In addition to the Artist Village and live entertainment, you’ll also enjoy a wide range of food vendors along Miracle Mile serving everything from Cuban to Caribbean food. Carnaval on the Mile is absolutely free, so bring your entire crew.
All of this leads up to Miami’s premier Carnaval event, the Calle Ocho Music Festival held March 15, 2020 along Little Havana’s famous Calle Ocho (or Eighth Street). Going strong for more than four decades, the festivities are positively brimming with non-stop music, food and activities for an energetic and festive explosion of culture. Join the crowds dancing salsa on the street and enjoy live performances and musicians rocking out on 12 different stages. You’ll hear everything from the beats of merengue, to reggeaton, bachata, balada, hip-hop, rap, jazz and more, all in one exciting day!
