Chamber Orchestra of Europe
Dec 08, 2026
Starting: 7:30 PM
The Chamber Orchestra of Europe makes its Arsht Center debut with an all-Brahms program led by conductor Yannick Nézet-Séguin. The performance takes place Tuesday, December 8 at 7:30 p.m. in the Knight Concert Hall as part of the Arsht Center’s 2026-2027 Classical Music Series. Italian pianist Beatrice Rana joins the orchestra for Brahms’ Piano Concerto No. 2.
The program also includes Brahms’ Symphony No. 2, a lyrical and expansive work that contrasts with the scale and virtuosity of the piano concerto. Nézet-Séguin, a longtime artistic partner of the Chamber Orchestra of Europe and an honorary member of the ensemble, leads the concert.
Founded in 1981, the Chamber Orchestra of Europe is known for its flexible, chamber-style approach to orchestral performance and has received two Grammy Awards and multiple Gramophone Record of the Year honors. Its Brahms recordings for Deutsche Grammophon have been recognized for their color, precision and intensity, qualities that will be brought to the live setting of Knight Concert Hall.
