Earth Day Celebration at the Garden

Eco-conscious activations await at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden on Sunday, April 21. The Garden's Earth Day Celebration, sponsored by the Al & Jane Nahmad Family Foundation, offers a variety of activities and educational opportunities to connect with nature and learn about sustainability.
Free Activities:
- Take home a free plant after completing a short survey.
- Meet Florida wildlife with Irie Fauna, including an alligator, gecko, tortoise and python. Learn about native and invasive species, and how to get involved in conservation efforts.
- Learn the art of composting and take some home from Beata Rikhter.
- Enjoy a children's book reading of "Sailing with Paros: Our Beautiful World" by Yaeko Knaus.
- Witness woodturning demonstrations by the South Florida Woodturners Guild.
- Explore the world of ceramics with demonstrations by the Ceramic League of Miami.
- Discover the City of Miami Beach's environmental initiatives and how they're creating a positive impact.
- Get creative with Earth-inspired art projects led by the Sunflower Society.
- Craft gratitude catchers with the Garden's nature-guide-in-residence, Karina Del Punta.
Additional ticketed events (RSVP on Eventbrite):
- Enjoy a guided Early Bird Walk through the garden at 8:00 a.m.
- Learn the art of propagating native plants with Corinne of Miami Seed Share at their 11:00 a.m. workshop.
- Unleash your creativity with a botanical ink making workshop at 12:00 p.m.
Food and drinks will be available for purchase from a variety of vendors, including Mama's Cooking, Crepemaker and Lucca & Livvy specialty beverages.
General admission is free, but RSVP is encouraged.
