Fet Gede: Tafa Mi-Soleil + Jean Caze takes place Saturday, November 1 and brings together rising star Tafa Mi-Soleil and acclaimed Haitian-American trumpeter Jean Caze. Mi-Soleil, awarded “Best Female Artist of the Year” at the 2023 Haitian Music Awards, blends roots music with theater, visual art and social advocacy. Caze leads a kreyol jazz septet that infuses Haitian rhythms with improvisation and melodic flair.
Also featured are Afro-electronica artist Val Jeanty, youth rara band Rara Nou of North Miami and host Natidredayiti, along with Haitian food and drink specials. The event is presented by Rhythm Foundation and Fondasyon Zaka.
