FIFA World Cup 26™ Quarter-Finals Match: England vs. Norway
Jul 11, 2026
Miami is set to host the FIFA World Cup in 2026, bringing the world’s premier soccer event to the city’s vibrant and diverse community. Matches will be held at the state-of-the-art Hard Rock Stadium, known for its modern amenities and excellent accessibility. Miami is also focusing on sustainability, with initiatives to reduce the event’s environmental impact.
England topped their group, then beat DR Congo and Mexico to reach the quarterfinal. Norway, playing in their first World Cup since 1998, pulled off a massive upset by knocking out five-time champions Brazil, with Erling Haaland scoring both goals. It's Norway's first-ever World Cup quarterfinal.
For tourists: Hard Rock Stadium is in Miami Gardens, about 30-45 minutes from South Beach depending on traffic, so fans should plan transportation early — official Miami Game Day Express Shuttles run for free, and parking passes need to be purchased ahead of time (lots have been selling out).
This will be just the fourth all-time World Cup meeting between England and Norway. Erling Haaland is tied for the tournament's Golden Boot lead after the Brazil win. And England's captain Harry Kane has been in strong knockout-stage form, having scored the goals that got them past DR Congo. Norway hasn't reached this stage of a World Cup in the modern 12-group era at all — this is uncharted territory for Ståle Solbakken's squad.
