Explore the emotional impact of world’s fairs through archival film and conversation during an evening presentation at The Wolfsonian–FIU on Miami Beach.
On Friday, August 8, Filming the Future features a screening of a three-screen video installation created by Wolfsonian social media manager Chris Lopez as part of the exhibition World’s Fairs: Visions of Tomorrow. The program includes a discussion with Bookleggers Library director Nathaniel Sandler, examining how the piece uses historical footage to reflect the hopes, anxieties and cultural narratives embedded in these global expositions.
