Free Second Saturdays: Back to School

Shadow art, gallery exploration and community activities welcome families to a new school year at Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM). The free program takes place Saturday, August 8, with artmaking and complimentary museum admission throughout the day. Miami-Dade County School Board members Joseph S. Geller of District 3 and Dr. Dorothy Bendross-Mindingall of District 2 will take part in the celebration.
Inspired by Deborah Brown’s Moonlight from the Brooklyn Series, visitors can work with PAMM teaching artists to create dramatized self-portraits using shadow and silhouette. Families can also meet community organizations on the terrace, explore the museum’s galleries or dine at Verde restaurant and bar.
