Jun 17, 2026
Starting: 7:30 PM
Young pianists from the Frost Chopin Academy & Festival take the spotlight in a recital devoted entirely to the music of Frédéric Chopin. The Stars of the Academy concert takes place Wednesday, June 17, at Newman Recital Hall in the Knight Center for Music Innovation at the University of Miami. The program offers audiences a chance to hear emerging artists interpret works by a composer central to the Academy’s focus.
Presented as part of the Frost Chopin Academy & Festival, the concert highlights some of the program’s youngest and most promising participants. Performances may range from lyrical miniatures to technically demanding showpieces, reflecting the expressive range of Chopin’s piano writing and the individual perspectives of the students performing it.
The evening also reflects the Academy’s emphasis on mentorship, intensive study and performance experience. For listeners, the recital offers an introduction to developing pianists as they engage with repertoire that continues to shape piano training and concert life worldwide.
