Grand Classical Gala

International ballet artists gather in Miami Beach for a classical gala showcasing principal dancers from companies around the world. The 31st International Ballet Festival of Miami: Grand Classical Gala takes place Saturday, August 15, at The Fillmore Miami Beach, as part of the annual festival lineup.

Presented by Miami Hispanic Ballet, the gala is one of the festival’s signature events and features performances by acclaimed dancers representing international ballet traditions. The evening also includes the presentation of the A Life for Dance Lifetime Achievement Award, which recognizes dancers, choreographers and directors whose work has made a lasting contribution to the field.

Founded by Miami Hispanic Ballet, the International Ballet Festival of Miami has grown into one of the country’s major ballet gatherings, bringing together local, national and international artists each year. The festival typically spans late July through mid-August, with performances, dance films, exhibitions, book presentations, workshops and masterclasses across Miami-Dade County.
