Insectos y Bicharracos

Caribbean rhythms, colorful characters and a playful mystery come together in this interactive musical theater performance for children and families.

Insectos y Bicharracos returns October 18–19 at Miami Theater Center. Back by popular demand, this bilingual production is inspired by the album created by singer-songwriter Rita Rosa Ruesga, who performs live alongside a band of local musicians. When Rosa’s celebratory tartlet goes missing, a group of musical insects helps unravel the mystery through lively songs and movement.

Featuring costume and set design by Celia Ledón and artistic direction by Eddy Díaz Souza, the show blends storytelling with festive visuals to engage young audiences in a fun, culturally rich experience. Presented by FUNDarte as part of the annual ZunZún Children’s Festival, the performance promotes universal values and the celebration of “Hispanidad” through the arts.
