International Coastal Cleanup at Bill Baggs
Sep 20, 2025
From: 9:30 AM to Noon
Volunteers gather at Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park for a shoreline cleanup that contributes to one of the world’s largest environmental volunteer efforts.
International Coastal Cleanup at Bill Baggs Park takes place Saturday, September 20 as part of Miami-Dade County’s International Coastal Cleanup 2025. Organized locally by VolunteerCleanup.org in partnership with Ocean Conservancy, the event invites participants to remove debris before it reaches the ocean, while recording findings through the Clean Swell app to support long-term solutions for trash-free seas.
Volunteers should bring closed-toed shoes, water in a reusable bottle and sun protection such as a hat and sunglasses. Gloves, garbage bags, water refills and sunscreen will be provided on site. The cleanup will meet at the pavilion closest to the beach access in Area A, with free parking available for registered participants in the adjacent lot. Look for Ocean Conservancy signage upon arrival.
This initiative is part of a global movement that has engaged millions of volunteers across more than 150 countries in protecting marine environments.
