La Poubelle Piano Bar with Maya Azucena and Rick Leonard

An interactive piano bar night invites guests to call the shots as vocalist Maya Azucena and pianist Rick Leonard take the stage at La Poubelle. Designed as an all-request evening, the performance blends audience participation with cabaret-style showmanship in an intimate North Beach setting.

Maya Azucena is a Brooklyn-born singer-songwriter known for her soulful vocals and genre-crossing style that draws from R&B, jazz and global influences. Over the course of her career, she has toured internationally and collaborated with artists across hip-hop and world music scenes, earning recognition for both her vocal range and socially conscious songwriting. Joining her is Rick Leonard, La Poubelle’s resident pianist, whose repertoire spans Broadway standards, pop classics and jazz favorites, making him a natural anchor for spontaneous, crowd-driven sets.

Presented by Normandy Arts LLC, the evening unfolds Thursday, March 19, with doors opening at 7 p.m. and the show beginning at 8 p.m. La Poubelle’s cabaret-style venue seats approximately 50 guests, with table assignments made upon arrival and parties potentially sharing seating. A $25 food and beverage minimum per person applies, with menu offerings curated by Silverlake executive chef Benoit Rablat. This event is 21 and over.
