Lakay PAMM: Living Beyond Borders
May 07, 2026
From: 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM
An evening program at Pérez Art Museum Miami explores Haitian culture through music, performance and storytelling during Haitian Heritage Month. Taking place Thursday, May 7, Lakay PAMM: Living Beyond Borders transforms the museum’s waterfront terrace into a multisensory cultural experience.
Presented in collaboration with the Route 1804 Foundation, the event features live music and performances by DJ Gardy, ZB Keys, NSL Dance Ensemble and Rara Lakay, highlighting contemporary and traditional expressions of the Haitian diaspora. Interactive elements and narrative components throughout the evening emphasize themes of movement, memory and resilience.
Guests can also access the museum’s galleries, including coming forth by day, a solo exhibition by Miami-born Haitian artist Woody De Othello. Food and beverage offerings are available from Verde, complementing the program’s focus on community and cultural connection.
