Little Haiti Book Festival
May 03, 2026
A daylong literary and cultural gathering highlights Haitian voices, storytelling traditions and community connections at the Little Haiti Cultural Complex. Taking place Sunday, May 3, the Little Haiti Book Festival brings together authors, artists and local leaders for a multidisciplinary celebration of Haitian and Haitian diaspora culture.
Presented by Miami Book Fair in partnership with Sosyete Koukouy of Miami, the festival spans literature, performance and interactive programming. While the full schedule of talks, readings and activations will be announced closer to the event, the festival traditionally includes panel discussions, children’s activities, music and dance performances, traditional games and opportunities to engage with participating writers and community organizations.
Originally founded as the Haitian-Caribbean Book Festival, the event has evolved over more than a decade into a platform for cultural exchange and literary dialogue in Little Haiti. With both in-person and virtual components, the festival continues to expand access while maintaining its focus on celebrating heritage, creativity and community.
