Marco Brambilla: After Utopia

Virtual architecture and historical spectacle collide in a new video installation that reimagines world’s fairs through the lens of AI and digital art.

Marco Brambilla: After Utopia opens at The Wolfsonian on Miami Beach from November 26 through March 1, inviting visitors into surreal, animated landscapes constructed from archival imagery of international expositions. Drawing on The Wolfsonian’s own collection, Brambilla blends iconic structures from past and present fairs, spanning three centuries, into dreamlike environments that reflect both nostalgia and technological ambition.

Presented in dialogue with the museum’s collection exhibition World’s Fairs: Visions of Tomorrow, the installation considers how ideas of progress are shaped, remembered and reimagined through visual culture.
