Meet the Author: Westofchester's ABCs of Miami

Miami landmarks, neighborhood touchstones and local expressions unfold from A to Ñ to Z in a bilingual picture book by Miami-born artist Melissa Gutierrez. The meet-the-author event takes place Monday, September 28 at The Commodore at The Ritz-Carlton Coconut Grove as part of its Books & Books Summer Reading Series, presented in partnership with O, Miami.

Published by O, Miami, Westofchester’s ABCs of Miami introduces young readers to the city through Gutierrez’s colorful illustrations and references to its culture, history and everyday character. It is the nonprofit literary organization’s first children’s book and includes text in English and Spanish.

Guests can purchase the ¡ÑO!, a specialty cocktail made with Havana Club Blanco, coconut water and carajillo foam, for $20. Attendees will also receive 10% off their next purchase at Books & Books Coconut Grove.
